What is mentioned about the years in the might be according to Allah Almighty's reckoning, and a day with Him is not like a day with us. It might be a thousand years, for example, as He Almighty says: "And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count." (Al-Hajj: 47).
