Matters concerning devils and jinn are of the unseen, and can only be judged through revelation. They possess intellects and are accountable, as mentioned by Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, but the details of their intellects are known only to Allah. Humans are more honorable and intelligent than them, while jinn are more treacherous, mendacious, and oppressive. There are three types of jinn: a type that flies in the air, a type that consists of snakes and dogs, and a type that settles and travels (or snakes, scorpions, and creeping things of the earth, and a type like the wind in the air). Some of them are not subject to accountability or punishment.
