How can one draw closer to Allah and remain steadfast in obedience, and is repentance accepted after repeated sins, knowing that the questioner suffers from abandoning prayer, listening to music, and watching forbidden things, despite her outward religiosity and desire for guidance?

The mercy of Allah is expansive, and He accepts genuine repentance if its conditions are met: immediately abandoning the sin, resolving not to return to it, and feeling remorse. If these conditions are fulfilled, the servant is given good tidings of Allah's pardon and forgiveness. Persisting in sin after the opportunity for repentance has been made available is an injustice to oneself. To achieve repentance, one must strive in supplication, realize the gravity of sins, and shun bad company, replacing it with righteous company.
