What is honoring one's wife and how is it done? And what are her rights over her husband? And should she be treated specially or like everyone else?

Honoring one's wife means upholding her rights, being gentle and compassionate towards her, and never humiliating her. This is achieved by obeying the commands of Allah and His Messenger. Allah Almighty commanded kind treatment of her, and He granted her rights equivalent to her duties. The Prophet, peace be upon him, forbade hating her due to a characteristic one might dislike. The Prophet, peace be upon him, also informed us that the best among Muslims are those who are best to their families.
