Is there a difference between Ibn al-Arabi and Ibn 'Arabi?

Ibn Arabi (indefinite, 'ابن عربي') refers to the well-known Sufi, Muhyi al-Din Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Muhammad al-Hatimi al-Ta'i al-Andalusi. He was born in the year 560 AH and died in 638 AH. He held deviant beliefs.

As for Al-Ibn al-Arabi (definite, 'ابن العربي'), he is the Maliki jurist Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Andalusi al-Ishbili. He authored numerous works, including "Aridat al-Ahwadhi," "Kawkab al-Hadith," and "Ummahat al-Masail." He was sharp-minded, eloquent, and noble in character. He served as a judge in Seville, and his governance was praised. He was later dismissed and dedicated himself to spreading knowledge. He died in Fez in the year 543 AH.
