Is it permissible to take a housing allowance in advance from the company for the purpose of Hajj, with it being deducted later from the salary in installments, given that there is no other debt?
Hajj is only obligatory for those who are able, as Allah Almighty says: (And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Kaaba) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, for those who are able to undertake the journey to it). And ability has been interpreted as provisions and a riding animal. So, whoever does not find sufficient sustenance for himself and for those he supports, and does not find a means of transportation, Hajj is not obligatory upon him. He is not required to take out a loan for Hajj, and it is preferable not to take out a loan. However, if he takes out a loan and performs Hajj, his Hajj is valid, and there is no harm in that.
