Does the Hadith: "The pleasure of Allah is in the pleasure of the parent, and the displeasure of Allah is in the displeasure of the parent" apply to a son who advised his wicked father to enjoin good, whereupon the father became angry and told his son, "I am an infidel" and "Your son is my enemy"?

Among the acts of filial piety towards parents is inviting them to goodness, enjoining them to what is right (ma'ruf), and forbidding them from what is wrong (munkar). This is the view of the majority of jurists. The child must adhere to gentleness, good manners, and an excellent approach in inviting them; otherwise, he should desist. If he does so, their displeasure with him will not harm him.
