How can one perform ablution (wudu') and prayer (salat) after a hair transplant, given the recommendation not to touch the transplanted area or bend the head downwards?
Hair transplantation is permissible to remove a defect. Wiping over the head is an obligatory act (fard) in ablution (wudu'), and prostration () is a pillar (rukn) in prayer (salat). Neither is waived except in case of inability.
Light wiping and light prostration do not affect transplanted hair.
If it is assumed that wiping does affect it: wiping over part of the head is sufficient according to the Shafi'i and Hanafi schools, and this is a strong opinion, especially when there is a need.
