Is it permissible for a father to sit with his son's fiancée before his son marries her or sees her, under the pretext of ensuring her suitability for his son?

The text denies the suitor meeting with the mother of the fiancée to see her, and the suitor's father meeting with the fiancée to see her, as both are forbidden. The principle behind this is the prohibition of a man looking at a non-mahram woman, based on the Almighty’s saying: (Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts). The Messenger (peace be upon him) only permitted the suitor to see his fiancée. As for the woman's acceptance and seeing her, that is the suitor's decision, and he may consult his father regarding matters of conduct and character. It is not permissible for the fiancée's mother to uncover her face to the suitor, nor for the suitor's father to see the fiancée before the marriage contract; because they are non-mahram. It is permissible for the fiancée to sit veiled with the suitor and his father in the presence of her mahrams. After the marriage contract, the fiancée's mother becomes a mahram to her daughter's husband, and the suitor's father becomes a mahram to his son's wife.
