Is it true that the killer of ʿUthmān (may Allah be pleased with him) was among the Companions whom Allah was pleased with at the Treaty of al-Ḥudaybiyyah?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, informed Uthman ibn Affan that he would die as a martyr and enjoined him to be patient. Uthman refused to fight the Companions who wished to defend him, in obedience to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Scholars and researchers have denied the involvement of any of the Companions in the killing of Uthman, including Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr. Rather, it is established that the venerable Companions cursed Uthman's killers and described them as transgressors and oppressors.
