What is the legitimate Islamic method for expelling jinn and spirits from treasures and buried objects, for breaking enchantments, and for fortifying the place, the person, and the equipment?
Many incantations are used to dispel 'ummar (dwelling jinns) and jinn, and to fortify a place, including: reciting Surat Al-Baqarah, Ayat Al-Kursi, the Adhan (call to prayer), remembering Allah upon entering the home and when eating, and the Almighty's saying: "And say, 'My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, and I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me'," and seeking refuge with "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and vermin and from every envious eye," and saying "None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things competent" one hundred times, and consistently observing the remembrances for eating, sleeping, waking, conjugal relations, entering the lavatory, and entering and exiting the home. For the remembrance of Allah is a strong fortress against Satan.
