It is preferable for a woman to stay in her home. However, it is permissible for her to work if there is a need, or if society needs her work, provided that the work is specifically for women. In such a case, the presence of a male supervisor creates শরী‘আ-related concerns, such as him looking at women, hearing their voices, and being in seclusion with them. Therefore, a female supervisor should be requested; otherwise, leaving the job is preferable. However, if there is an urgent need for the work and no other option is available, then strict adherence to hijab and modesty is required, along with refraining from speaking in a soft alluring manner, using perfume, or being in seclusion. Speech should be limited to what is necessary.
