Is it permissible for the husband to impose his opinion on his wife regarding the timing of weekly visits to her family and sisters, or must he accede to her request to stay with them for a full day?

Maintaining kinship ties is a religious command and one of the best acts of closeness to Allah. However, Islamic law does not mandate that meetings be weekly or last for a full day, and a husband is not obligated to fulfill his wife's request in this regard. A husband is not required to take his wife to her sisters or relatives and leave her for a full day. Furthermore, maintaining kinship ties is not limited to visits; it also includes kindness through financial support, services, greetings, and other forms of beneficence. The wife should be engaged in a good discussion, treated kindly through pleasant companionship, protected from harm, given generosity, and shown good manners.
