What is the ruling on a divorce conditioned upon going to the wife's country, if the going takes place after the anger in which this statement was uttered?

The majority of scholars hold that a conditional divorce takes effect if the condition upon which it was made is fulfilled, and not every instance of anger prevents the divorce from occurring. Therefore, as long as you uttered the words of divorce, being aware of what you were saying, then your wife's divorce has taken effect by your going to her country, unless you did not intend divorce by it, but rather a promise to effect it, in which case it does not result in divorce. And on the assumption that the divorce has occurred, the oath is dissolved by it, and repeated trips thereafter will have no effect.
