Is it considered a lie for a wife to try to avoid her husband’s anger by not relaying everything said by her family and relatives, or by not disclosing the remaining amount of her salary before spending a portion of it, knowing that her husband will divorce her with a triple divorce if she lies?

Lying is strictly forbidden except in exceptional cases permitted by Islamic law for a greater benefit, such as: war, reconciling people, a man speaking to his wife, and a wife speaking to her husband. As for divorce, if the husband says, "You will be divorced by three [talāqs]" when lying, there are two scenarios: First: If he intends it as a promise of divorce and not a suspension, then the divorce does not occur unless he carries it out. Second: If he intends to suspend the divorce upon the lie, then the triple divorce occurs if you lie. It is advisable to avoid lying and to avoid telling him what you do not wish to say, and to use general language that neither reveals the truth nor lies.
