Is the fatwa stating that "whoever believes in God and believes in Taghut is a disbeliever" valid?

The oneness of God (Tawhid) is based on belief in Him and disbelief in Taghut, which is anything worshipped besides God. Quranic verses and Prophetic hadiths have affirmed this. The word of Tawhid, "La ilaha illa Allah" (There is no god but Allah), is not beneficial unless it is accompanied by disbelief in what is worshipped besides Allah. This is the creed of Abraham (peace be upon him). The true believer in Allah must disbelieve in Taghut; otherwise, his faith is not valid. Whoever affirms God's Lordship (Rububiyyah) but associates partners with Him in His Divinity (Uluhiyyah), his faith will not benefit him. Accordingly, the fatwa mentioned is correct if this is what is intended by it.
