Is it permissible to inform someone to search for a lender in exchange for a known sum of money that the searcher pays if this lender is found?

There are two scenarios for seeking a lender for another person:

The first: The seeker's role is limited to merely guiding, and they receive a fee for this guidance. This is permissible if the fee is known.

The second: The seeker intercedes with their influence (Jah) with the lender to obtain compensation from the borrower. This is known as "Thaman al-Jah" (the price of influence), and it is permissible according to some jurists, such as the Shafi'is and Hanbalis.

One should be cautious not to let the money be in exchange for the guarantee (collateral), as it is impermissible to take compensation for a guarantee. This is because a guarantee is a gratuitous contract, and the four Madhhabs (schools of thought) have agreed on prohibiting compensation for a guarantee.
