What is the way to get rid of the fear of jinn, especially when performing nocturnal acts of worship such as Qiyam al-Layl, knowing that one is committed to prayer, fasting, and zakat?
A believer must achieve Tawhid (monotheism) and rely on Allah alone, fearing none but Him. This is because fear of anything other than Allah is a satanic whisper. When fear is felt, one should remember the name of Allah and repeat the declaration of Tawhid, as well as the prescribed dhikr (remembrance) and du'a (supplications) such as: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created," "There is no might or power except with Allah," and "Say: Nothing will befall us except what Allah has decreed for us." The Qur'an is a healing for what is in the breasts, and it should be recited with contemplation. It is also recommended to make the supplication: "O Allah, I am Your slave, the son of Your male slave..." Furthermore, one should associate with the righteous to cooperate in goodness. If the fear persists, one can resort to lawful Ruqyah (incantation).
