Is it permissible to eat food cooked by someone who abandons prayer out of laziness, while knowing it is obligatory?

Scholars have differed concerning the kufr (disbelief) of one who abandons prayer out of laziness. Some are of the opinion that such a person commits an act of kufr if the Imam or his deputy calls him to prayer and he refuses to pray. Before this, he is considered a Muslim and his slaughtered meat is permissible. This opinion was favored in previous fatwas. Others do not consider him to have committed an act of kufr. As for eating his food, whether meat or bread, there is absolutely no objection to it.
