Is it permissible for a woman to give her picture to another woman, or to allow herself to be photographed, or to put pictures of her female colleagues on her phone, or to put her picture or a video of herself on her phone, or to give her picture to her fiancé, or to video chat with him, or to hang pictures in the house, taking into account the hadith: "The angels do not enter a house in which there is a picture"?

Photography is permissible as long as it does not lead to fitna (temptation/strife), and it is permissible out of necessity by scholarly consensus. It is permissible for a woman to give her picture to a female friend or allow her to photograph her with a mobile phone if she trusts her, but it is preferable for her not to do so to avoid the spread of the pictures. Looking at pictures of non-mahram women and keeping pictures for memory is forbidden by many contemporary scholars. It is not permissible to hang pictures due to the prohibition of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding that. As for sending a woman's picture to a suitor, there is no harm in it.
