What is the ruling on the actions of a mosque imam and teacher who teaches the Quran and Islamic education, in whose personal device lewd clips were found, and who attempted to molest some students and commit sodomy with them, then proceeded to interrupt the questioner and tarnish his reputation? Is it permissible to inform those in charge of the mosque and the parents about this?

We are concerned with the apparent, and Allah knows what is hidden. Therefore, his case should be interpreted favorably, and he should be shielded and advised with kind words and a good approach, without seeking to uncover the true nature of his situation. It is permissible to advise the neighbor's son and warn him against bad company without mentioning names. However, if it is proven by clear evidence that the man's situation is corrupt and he has not repented, then it is obligatory to inform those responsible for him.
