Is the fidyah obligatory for an elderly father, over eighty years old, who constantly wears a diaper to perform Umrah?

A pilgrim [in the state of ihram] must avoid sewn garments, such as diapers. However, if there is a need to wear one, it is permissible, but a fidyah (expiation) becomes obligatory. This fidyah is: feeding six needy persons, or fasting for three days, or sacrificing a sheep.

For the prayer and circumambulation (tawaf) to be valid, the garment and body must be pure from impurity. If the diaper is impure, it must be changed, and the area must be cleaned before prayer and tawaf. However, if a person suffers from urinary incontinence or a similar condition, they must perform ablution (wudu') after the time for prayer begins and wear a clean diaper after purifying the area. The excretion of impurity during prayer or tawaf does not harm them, as long as they have taken the necessary precautions.
