Does the punishment for one who misses the congregational Fajr prayer—which is having one's head crushed with a large rock—apply to someone who prays it alone at home after its usual time due to inadvertently missing the alarm, despite wishing to perform it in congregation? And is one who deliberately prays Fajr individually without an excuse sinful? And is an individual's prayer at home alone unacceptable or displeasing to Allah?

The time for performing the Fajr prayer begins with the appearance of the true dawn and ends with sunrise. Whoever habitually prays it after sunrise has committed a grave sin, and there is a fear for them of the warning mentioned in the noble Hadith regarding the man who sleeps through an obligatory prayer, which is that his head will be crushed with a rock.

However, whoever made efforts to wake up but did not succeed bears no sin. As for one who intentionally abandons congregational prayer, they are sinful because congregational prayer is obligatory, and repentance is incumbent upon them. Praying individually is valid and suffices, but its acceptance or rejection is known only to Allah.
