What is the ruling on using Facebook and browsing friends' pages and useful and entertaining websites, knowing that images of women or forbidden matters appear in a way that is difficult to avoid or predict, especially since this happens not with the intention of looking at what is forbidden, but for benefit, communication, or entertainment? And how can one reconcile between fatwas that prohibit certain content and those that permit the use of beneficial websites despite the presence of images of women in them?

The default ruling is the permissibility of dealing with communication and messaging applications. The possibility of forbidden images existing does not nullify the ruling of permissibility, but the user must be cautious and avoid looking at what is impermissible. If a person is weak and knows that the existence of forbidden content is not rare, then it becomes obligatory for them to avoid these sites. As for the difference between following programs that contain music and following beneficial websites with the possibility of women's images being present, the former contains a definitively established evil that affects the ruling from the outset. Whereas in the latter, the evil is merely probable, so the original ruling of permissibility remains, while observing the ruling when the probable occurs.
