What is the authenticity of the permissibility of uttering Ka’b al-Ahbar’s words, reported from Al-Qa’qa’ ibn Hakim: “I seek refuge in the Mighty Face of Allah, than which there is nothing mightier, and in the perfect words of Allah, which neither a righteous person nor a wicked person can transgress, and in all of Allah’s beautiful names, those I know and those I do not know, from the evil of what He has created, originated, and brought into being”? And does it have the ruling of being elevated (to the Prophet) and is it permissible to persist in reciting it with the morning and evening remembrances?

Imam Malik reported from Ka'b al-Ahbar that he said, "Were it not for words I utter, the Jews would have turned me into a donkey." These words are: "I seek refuge with the mighty Face of Allah, than Whom there is nothing mightier; with the perfect Words of Allah, which no righteous or wicked person can transgress; and with all the beautiful Names of Allah, those I know and those I do not know, from the evil of what He created, originated, and brought into existence." This supplication is not attributed to the Prophet, peace be upon him, but rather it is from the words of Ka'b al-Ahbar. It is a good supplication, but it should not be recited regularly like the morning and evening remembrances. A similar supplication was reported from the Prophet, peace be upon him, which is: "I seek refuge with the perfect Words of Allah, which no righteous or wicked person can transgress, from the evil of what He created, brought into existence, and originated; and from the evil of what descends from the sky, and from the evil of what ascends into it; and from the evil of what He brought into existence on the earth, and from the evil of what emerges from it; and from the evil of the trials of night and day; and from the evil of every nocturnal visitor, except a visitor who comes with good, O Most Merciful." This remembrance is recited when one is startled at night or fears the trickery of Satan.
