What is the refutation to the specious argument concerning the sexual hadiths narrated by Lady Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, through which enemies of Islam impugn her honor, claiming that these narrations are immodest, and why did the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, not teach the Companions these matters himself instead of Lady Aisha?

The Mother of the Believers, Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, spoke of matters usually considered private, such as marital relations. This is not blameworthy Islamically or by nature, because her aim was to teach religious rulings, and concealing knowledge is forbidden. She was the most knowledgeable among people concerning the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, affairs in his home. Her statement, "I and the Messenger of Allah did it, then we bathed," was not a mere opinion but to confirm the obligation of ghusl (ritual bath). She, may Allah be pleased with her, dealt with the Companions in her capacity as the Mother of the Believers, teaching them what they needed in their religion.
