Is a wife Islamically entitled to ask her husband about the details of his personal expenses and hold him accountable for them?

An adult, sane husband has the right to dispose of his wealth without informing his wife of what he owns or spends. The wife's right is to be provided for adequately, which includes a suitable, independent dwelling, whether owned, rented, or borrowed. If the husband provides this dwelling in their current country of residence, he has fulfilled her right, and she has no right to demand a dwelling in another country. The wife is advised to treat her husband kindly and not to insist on asking about expenses, and she is warned against angering him or abandoning him without cause. The husband is advised to treat his wife kindly and overlook her shortcomings, with the possibility of mutual understanding and shared planning of expenses and providing a dwelling for the future.
