Does the husband have the right to question his wife about how she spends her private money, knowing that she contributes a large part of her salary to living expenses and helping his family? And does she have the right to financially assist her family even if the husband does not see a need for it? And is it permissible for her to help them without his knowledge to avoid embarrassment or refusal?

It is recommended for a wife to seek her husband's permission regarding what she spends from her own money, in order to preserve their marital relationship, based on what was narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "It is not permissible for a woman to give a gift except with her husband's permission." The majority of scholars have interpreted this hadith as a recommendation. If the wife contributes two-thirds of her salary to the household, then there is no objection to her spending on her family without her husband's permission, but she should try to convince him of this. If the husband does not understand, then she may spend from her money without his knowledge.
