Were the Companions muqarinun when they said, "We have entered into ihram with what the Messenger of Allah entered into ihram with," before they changed their ritual to tamattu' in the Farewell Pilgrimage?

The narrations regarding the Ihram of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) during the Farewell Pilgrimage vary. Some entered into Ihram for Umrah, some combined Hajj and Umrah, and some entered into Ihram for Hajj only, as stated in the narrations of Aishah and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them). These narrations have been reconciled by explaining that initially, they only knew about Hajj. Then, the Prophet (peace be upon him) clarified the different types of Ihram and permitted them to perform Umrah during the months of Hajj. As for the Ihram tied to what the Prophet (peace be upon him) had intended, it was reported only by Ali and Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with them).
