Is my action correct after I entered into ihram for Hajj At-Tamattu‘ and entered Makkah, then cut short my ihram due to health reasons, then entered into ihram again and completed the rituals of 'Umrah, then completed the rituals of Hajj? And what should I have done?

The questioner's action is incorrect. Ihram is not severed by the intention to sever it, due to the Almighty’s saying: {And complete the Hajj and Umrah for Allah}. Therefore, the questioner remained in a state of Ihram for Umrah until she performed it. If, during that period, she committed any of the prohibitions of Ihram, then some scholars excuse ignorance absolutely. Others believe that what falls under the category of indulgence, such as wearing clothes and using perfume, she is excused for, unlike what falls under the category of destruction, such as cutting hair and nails, for which she is obligated to offer a fidyah, with the choice between fasting three days, or feeding six poor persons, or sacrificing a sheep.
