Does the supplication, "O Allah, make my provision at my doorstep, expand it for me, and bless it for me," imply a rejection of abundant provision that comes from traveling outside the country, especially with limited job opportunities within the country, which require moving to another city far from family and with a lower income?

Praying for sustenance to be facilitated without travel does not mean rejecting abundant sustenance, for Allah is capable of facilitating sustenance without hardship or travel. Prayer with high aspirations has been legislated, and Ibn Abbas used to pray for vast sustenance. You can pray for Allah to expand His bounty upon you and grant you abundant sustenance without travel, while maintaining good expectations of Allah.

Traveling for earning a livelihood is permissible as long as it does not entail anything forbidden, such as a husband being absent from his wife for more than six months without her permission. The evidence for this includes Allah's saying: "It is He who made the earth subservient to you, so walk among its pathways and eat from His provision. And to Him is the resurrection," and His saying: "and others traveling through the land, seeking of Allah's bounty." However, if traveling leads to the loss of the children's religion and morals, then it must be abandoned, and work should be sought nearby.
