What is the ruling on working in banks, specifically in the field of granting loans, and is there any doubt concerning it?

Working in usurious banks is impermissible, as it involves cooperating in sin and transgression. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes Riba (usury/interest), the one who pays it, the one who records it, and the two witnesses to it. The salary resulting from this work is forbidden. It is obligatory to leave it, for the fields of permissible work are many, and whoever fears Allah — He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect.
