What are the rights of a wife after divorce due to congenital defects (such as vitiligo and insanity) or moral defects (such as bad manners, frequent cursing, and continuous slandering of the husband and his family)?

Among the defects for which a marriage can be annulled are leprosy and insanity, if they were not disclosed to the husband before the contract, and he did not consent to them, nor did he enjoy her after discovering them. As for the wife's bad manners, the marriage is not annulled thereby, and the husband may divorce her. In the case of annulment, the wife receives nothing from the dower or other provisions if the husband did not enjoy her after becoming aware of the defect. In the case of divorce, she has the rights of a divorced woman. The defect that necessitates the option (of annulment) is that which existed before the contract; as for a defect that occurs after it, it does not necessitate annulment, but rather the husband is given the option between divorce or retention.
