Is it permissible to chant the Qur’an and the adhkar (remembrance of Allah) and send blessings upon the Prophet with the intention of strengthening one's will and personality, increasing intelligence, and compensating for shortcomings, and is it permissible to combine this intention with the intention of reward and Paradise?

Reciting the Quran, performing dhikr (remembrance of Allah), and sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) are among the best righteous deeds. There is no harm in a servant performing these acts with the intention that Allah fulfills their needs, as this falls under seeking intercession with Allah through good deeds to fulfill needs, bring benefit, and remove harm. This is permissible. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would pray whenever he was distressed by a matter. The prayer for rain (Salat al-Istisqa) was legislated to seek blessings, and the eclipse prayer (Salat al-Kusuf) to repel calamities. It was narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "Cure your sick with charity." There is no harm in doing so with the intention of seeking intercession or with the intention of gaining reward.
