Is a person considered a hypocrite if he performs acts of obedience, then commits a sin, and his acts of obedience do not prevent him from committing the sin?

A believer's fear of hypocrisy is a sign of good, because fear is a characteristic of Allah's believing servants. The Companions and the Salaf feared hypocrisy for themselves. A Muslim is not infallible from falling into sin; he is susceptible to being led astray by Satan, and he must repent to Allah. The believer must remain between fear and hope, for they are like the two wings of a bird.
