Is all المدني (Madani) dates available in markets the date mentioned in the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) حديث (Hadith) as a cure for black magic and scorpion stings, or is there a specific type of it? And is it always a condition to eat seven dates of this type to attain healing, Allah willing?

The Hadith states that whoever eats seven Ajwa dates in the morning will not be harmed by poison or magic on that day.

Scholars have differed regarding the meaning of this Hadith: Is it specific to the Ajwa dates of Madinah, or does it include any type of date?

The number seven is intended in itself and must be believed in and acted upon continuously, because the protection mentioned is limited to the day on which the dates are eaten.
