This is because the lease contract may last for one month or for years, which makes the rent unknown. The majority of jurists stipulate that the brokerage fee must be known. Therefore, this transaction is not permissible. If it occurs, the worker is entitled to the customary wage (اجرة المثل) for his search for the leasing party.
