Is it permissible to divorce an abusive wife while she is pregnant, given that both spouses desire the divorce and the husband's family opposes her return?

If the wife is disobedient (nashiz), the husband must follow the Quranic steps to address the disobedience, along with supplicating for her rectification. If her situation does not improve, it is preferable to divorce her, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged divorcing a bad-tempered person. Obedience to parents in divorcing the wife becomes obligatory if there is a valid reason, such as the wife's bad conduct. The fetus is under the protection of Allah, and it is not permissible to wish for its death.
