Is there a solution for the traveler who finds his wife menstruating upon his return after a long absence, which prevents him from having sexual intercourse with her?

Intercourse with one's wife during menstruation is forbidden by the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and the consensus of the Ummah, due to the Almighty's saying: (And they ask you about menstruation. Say, "It is discomfort, so keep away from women during menstruation. And do not approach them until they are pure. And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allah has ordained for you"). As for foreplay above the navel and below the knee, or between them with a barrier, it is permissible by scholarly consensus. However, they differed on foreplay between the navel and the knee, excluding the private parts (vagina and anus), without a barrier. The more cautious approach is to avoid it, as it has been reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to command his wives to tie their garments before engaging in foreplay with them.
