How can the noble Prophetic saying be reconciled: "If someone whose دین (religious commitment) and character you approve comes to you, then marry him (to your daughter/sister/ward)...", with a feeling of unease after performing the Istikhara prayer?

The hadith (definition): "If someone whose religion and character you approve comes to you seeking marriage, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption," indicates the desirability of marrying a person of good religion and character, even if they have little wealth or beauty. This does not contradict performing Istikhara, for the hadith means that a person of good religion and character is worthy of acceptance. However, a specific individual may not be suitable. If a woman performs Istikhara and seeks counsel, Allah may divert her from him for what is better for both of them. Rejecting a religious suitor due to a lack of comfort after Istikhara is not included in the dispraise inferred from the hadith, because it is a rejection based on Istikhara, not on his religiosity. It is incumbent upon the woman and her guardians to accept a person of good religion and character and to seek aid through Istikhara.
