The retirement pension disbursed to the family of the deceased falls into two categories: Either it is a due entitlement of the deceased, in which case it is divided among the heirs according to the legitimate Islamic inheritance laws. Or it is a grant from a donor entity, in which case it is divided according to the specifications of that entity. You must ascertain your right and behave kindly towards your mother, for her right is immense and disobeying her is a terrible sin; mistreating her does not negate her right.
