Is it permissible to give zakat to a woman who has no income or job, and who owns a small amount of gold for adornment that does not cover her living expenses and medical treatment?

It is permissible to give zakat to a woman if she does not have sufficient income for the necessities and needs of life. It is better that whatever gold she possesses be sold and invested for her so that she becomes self-sufficient and no longer needs charity, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, it is better for one of you to take his rope, gather firewood on his back, and sell it than to come to a man and ask him [for something], whether he gives to him or withholds from him."
