Is it permissible to give Zakat to a family whose women own gold, knowing that they are not extremely poor but are in need of money?

Zakat (definition) funds are allocated to those who cannot meet their basic needs. They are not given to the wealthy, whether by拥有 of wealth or the ability to earn enough to meet their needs. The fact that gold is owned by the wife does not prevent zakat from being given to the husband if he is poor. Similarly, if the gold is jewelry belonging to a poor woman who needs it for adornment and has not met her basic needs, it is permissible to give her zakat.

The preponderant opinion is that the wealth that precludes one from receiving zakat is that which suffices one's needs. Therefore, whoever has not met their needs may receive zakat, even if they own the equivalent of a nisab (definition).
