Children have rights over their parents, including: choosing a righteous mother who is religious and of good character, selecting beautiful names, providing for them if they are poor, raising them well and teaching them the necessary matters of their religion, and treating them justly in affection, kindness, and giving. For Allah has obligated rights for children upon parents, just as He has obligated rights for children towards their parents.
