How can one overcome the persistent feelings of fear, depression, and pessimism towards the future, and the ability to connect with a good person, despite committing to reading the Qur’an?
We ask Allah to grant you healing. What has afflicted you may be a psychological illness, magic (sihr), or obsessive whispers (waswas). You must turn to Allah through supplication, consistently observe acts of obedience, abandon sins, and maintain the prescribed remembrances (adhkar). You have done well in reciting the Quran.
You were mistaken in adorning yourself for going out, as a woman's going out is conditional upon not beautifying herself, not wearing perfume, and avoiding anything that incites temptation. There is no harm in seeking treatment through shariyyah (Islamic exorcism) by yourself or from others among the people of good, and by consulting skilled doctors specializing in psychological illnesses. Do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Strengthen your trust in Allah, and with time, you will improve.
