The question

What is the ruling on shunning a religious young man and mosque imam who does not pray Dhuhr and Asr on time, and sleeps through them only to combine them before Maghrib, and spends his nights in backbiting and amusement with irreligious youth, especially after all means of advice with him have been exhausted to no avail?

The answer

If young people advise a disobedient man and he does not respond, there is no harm in shunning him if his return to righteousness is hoped for through it. This is unless it is known that shunning will not be beneficial, in which case shunning should be abandoned and advice continued.
