Is it permissible for a man to marry a second time if his wife is good-natured but uneducated and not beautiful, and he has a strong sexual desire and fears falling into adultery, knowing that he holds a prominent social position and faces family opposition?

If the wife is shy, the husband should guide her to what he desires and loves from what Allah has permitted, and explain to her that there is no shyness between spouses. The man is the one who initiates, and he must prepare his wife before intercourse through foreplay, so that her desire is aroused and she attains her pleasure. As for the desire for a second marriage, Allah has permitted it with the conditions of being able to support it and being just between wives; otherwise, polygyny is not permissible.
