How can one adapt to an fiancé and live with him in a foreign country despite the scarcity of meetings and extreme shyness, and is this shyness an indicator of the marriage not being facilitated?
You both have done well in adhering to the etiquette of Sharia, for a suitor is a stranger to his fiancée, and conversation between them may be artificial and lead to discord and divorce. Affection between spouses is easily attained after marriage; Allah Almighty says: "And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought." A woman's shyness in speaking with her suitor is natural and does not affect the facilitation of marriage. Speaking with him is not permissible except out of necessity and to that extent, and without softening the speech. The matter of marriage falls to the woman's guardian, while taking her opinion into account.
