Is it permissible for a father to gift half of his company to his son during his lifetime, in exchange for his efforts in developing this company, and is it permissible for him to bequeath one-third of the company to him after his death, in addition to his legal share of the inheritance?

If a father wishes to give his son a share of the company in return for his effort or merit, there is no religious impediment, provided that this is an immediate gift and not a bequest made after his death. However, if the gift is merely a preferential treatment and favoring of some children over others, it is not permissible for the father to single out some of his children for a gift while excluding others. He must then give the daughters an equivalent amount to what he gave the son.
