Is it permissible to refrain from jobs that are permissible according to Sharia but involve forbidden acts and violations of Sharia, and to be content with patience and reliance on Allah, without pursuing available means of earning a living? And does this count as a vow that pleases Allah and earns its doer entry into Paradise?

The existence of objectionable matters does not justify abandoning work. The hadith: "Who can guarantee me that he will not ask people for anything, and I will guarantee him Paradise?" does not imply what was understood from it. Rather, an exception to this is made if a person fears death for himself, for necessities permit forbidden things. He might die disobedient if he does not ask until he dies. The advice is to work in the field of teaching with piety towards Allah and avoidance of prohibitions, limiting conversation with women to what is necessary, and taking the initiative to marry.
